Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7 (NIV)

Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21 (NIV)

Mighty God, as a people and a nation we have been richly blessed, but Lord, we often forget that striving for material goods or weapons to use against others will not bring us closer to you. Yet if we trust you and turn from wrongdoing, you will keep us safe and protect us. Amen.
