Moravian Daily Texts

Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany

Watchword for the Week — Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him. Deuteronomy 30:19,20

Sunday, February 16 — Deuteronomy 30:15-20; Psalm 119:1-8
1 Corinthians 3:1-9; Matthew 5:21-37

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Joel 2:32

Jesus says, "Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." John 16:23

Merciful God, we know that we sin and that we are in need of your saving grace. Thank you for reaching out when we call upon you. Draw us closer to you, and may we joyfully serve you. Amen.
