Today's Moravian Daily Text

Moravian Daily Texts

Thursday, February 20 — Psalm 27:7-14
Genesis 48; Matthew 17:1-13

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. Psalm 71:18 (NIV)

There was also a prophet, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age. At that moment she came, and began to praise God and to speak about the child to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. Luke 2:36,38

Lord, through the ages you have offered hope and salvation to us. Anna in her elder years recognized the infant Jesus as the long anticipated Savior; so Lord, we worship you and give thanks that you came to earth to redeem each of us. Thank you for loving us and for forgiving our daily sins, if we but call upon you. Amen.
