No one has power over the day of death. Ecclesiastes 8:8

Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time. Ephesians 5:15-16

Eternal God, we praise you for sending your Son and for delivering us from the power of death. We do not know the future or how long we will live upon this earth. We confess that our choices are not always wise and we do not make the most of opportunities before us. Help us to know your will and to guide us in a life of service to you. Amen.
