Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
Watchword for the Week — For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
Sunday, February 2 — Micah 6:1-8; Psalm 15
1 Corinthians 1:18-31; Matthew 5:1-12
Even when you turn gray I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. Isaiah 46:4
So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
Faithful God, you provide for our needs. No matter our age, you sustain us through many trials and afflictions. Even when our mortal body begins to fail, the spirit of faith within assures us that one day we will arise from the dead and live with you. Let us not despair, but ever put our trust in you. Amen.
