Today's Moravian Daily Text

Moravian Daily Texts

Second Sunday after the Epiphany

Watchword for the Week — God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9

Sunday, January 19 — Isaiah 49:1-7; Psalm 40:1-11
1 Corinthians 1:1-9; John 1:29-42

The Lord is a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. Joel 3:16

Jesus prayed, "I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one." John 17:15

We will never let go of your hand, Lord Jesus, for you are our lifeline and our refuge. We are tethered to you and we will never lose our way. We only have to hold fast and pull ourselves, inch by inch, closer to you. Amen.
