Dear Friends,
One of the privileges of being a member of the Henri Nouwen Society board is the opportunity to hear the stories of people whose lives have been touched by Henri. Many of the most powerful stories are shared during the holidays by those of you who are not able to be with loved ones or are mourning the loss of a family member or friend.
Reflecting on these stories, we find comfort in two simple messages woven throughout much of Henri’s work:
- God is always with us;
- We are called to “be present” for each other during difficult times.
As members of the Henri Nouwen Society Board, we know that every gift we receive between now and December 31 is critical to our planning for 2022. We are grateful for those of you who have already made a gift or responded to our special appeals to join our monthly giving program. We are also very much aware that our efforts to share Henri’s words with others are not possible without your support and partnership.
