Announcing the Selection for Our
Online Advent 2021 book discussion!
Community is a new book by Henri Nouwen. And it’s just in time for our popular online Advent book discussion!

In fact, Henri Nouwen never actually wrote a book on community. But he wrote numerous articles about it, presented many lectures on it and, for the last ten years of his life, LIVED it when he left his teaching duties at Harvard Divinity School to serve as chaplain and to live in community at L’Arche Daybreak in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Edited by Stephen Lazarus, Community draws on talks and published and unpublished articles that Henri Nouwen delivered on the topic of community. Henri believed the bonds of connection and belonging are as essential for life as breathing. Community provides a complete picture of Nouwen’s understanding of Christian community and why he felt it to be such a necessary and integral part of the spiritual life in all its many dimensions.
