Dear Friends,
One of the privileges of being a member of the Henri Nouwen Society board is the opportunity to hear the stories of people who's lives have been touched by Henri. This has been especially true this holiday season as so many struggle with feelings of loneliness and with the pain, heartache and disappointment of being separated from family members and loved ones.
Reflecting on the stories many of you have shared in recent months, I find comfort in three simple messages woven throughout much of Henri's work: We are never alone; God is always with us; We are called to "be present" for each other during these challenging times.
Thank you for being present for the Henri Nouwen Society throughout 2020.
Every gift the Henri Nouwen Society receives between now and December 31 is critical to our work and planning for 2021. We are aware that some people are not in a position to give, but if you are, please know how much we appreciate your support.
