What's happening this fall?
We have a fresh new energy to promote all things Nouwen! By the overwhelming response we receive to our social media posts, the rise in subscribers to Henri's Daily Meditations, and the continued interest in his books and videos, it's clear that nearly 20 years after his death Henri is still making an impact!
Oh... and did I mention we have some great new events planned for the coming months? _______________________________________________________________________  Fans of Henri Nouwen who live in Toronto, or who plan to be in the area, can look forward to a wonderful Nouwen-inspired evening on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Dr. Riaan van der Merwe, a noted scholar from South Africa, will deliver a lecture entitled Broken Wholeness: A Contemporary Encounter with Henri Nouwen's Spirituality.
It takes place at St. Basil's Church, 50 St. Joseph Street (west of Bay St., one north of Wellesley). It's at 7:00 PM sharp. And it's free!
Refreshments will be served following the lecture (at our offices right across the street), so you'll have a chance to meet Riaan and mingle with others. Hope to see you there!

On December 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM (EST) Henry Freeman speaks with William G. Enright, Ph.D, founding director for the Lake Institute of Faith & Giving, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, about "heart-based" fundraising for churches. The First Annual Henri Nouwen Lecture
On November 14, 2015 at 8:00 PM, the Henri Nouwen Society is thrilled to present The First Annual Henri Nouwen Lecture at the University of Toronto.
Jim Wallis will be speaking on a theme that was very close to Henri Nouwen's heart, The Spirituality of Social Justice. For more information on this inaugural series of lectures, click here.
While he's in town, Jim Wallis will be a guest on CBC's Sunday Edition with Michael Enright. As well, his lecture will be featured in the popular CBC radio series Ideas in the new year. Details to follow! |
