Dear Charles,

We thought you would want to know about our upcoming "Fundraising from the Heart" call-in seminar:

Lessons and Learning

from a Lifetime of Fundraising from the Heart

with Henry Freeman and Sue Mosteller, CSJ

Tuesday May 20th, 11:30 am Central Time

Join the Henri Nouwen Society and The Upper Room for this final in our 2014 series of three call-in seminars featuring Henri Nouwen's A Spirituality of Fundraising, hosted by John Mogabgab, founding editor of Weavings Journal. The content of the May 20th call-in seminar will focus on questions posed by our audience.

"Fundraising is, first and foremost, a form of ministry," renowned author and teacher Henri Nouwen writes. "It is a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission."

But how many view fundraising this way? For most, it seems a necessary evil often disconnected from mission. In April of 2013, Henri Nouwen Society members partnered with The Upper Room to offer a live call-in seminar on the topic of "Fundraising From the Heart".

This year, the Henri Nouwen Society and The Upper Room partnered again to bring you three new seminars expanding on the topic of "Fundraising from the Heart":

During these call-in events you'll be offered an entirely different vision for fundraising and encouraged to live into that vision. Hosted by The Upper Room's John Mogabgab, each seminar will expand on insights into the person-centered approach to the donor-fundraiser partnership reflected in Henri Nouwen's seminal work, A Spirituality of Fundraising.

Fees: $39 US per seminar or $99 US for the series.  If you purchase the series you will receive access to the recorded version of the January 23rd seminar, "The Courage to Fundraise" and  the April 8th seminar, "The Spirit and Practice of Excellence."

Registrants will be entitled to a discount at Upper Room Books of 25% off the purchase price of A Spirituality of Fundraising and will also receive access to the recorded version of the April 2013 call-in seminar.
